My Disney World Trip

I recently went on a family trip to Orlando, Florida on my Spring break. I went with my Mom, Dad and brother. We went to three theme parks and hung out at the pool. Disney World in Orlando is made up of four theme parks. One of them is the Epcot, which was my favorite to visit. The other three theme parks that make up Disney World are Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.

At Epcot, the first ride I went on was Space Ship Earth. It was a slow ride that teaches you about the past and also gives you a glimpse into the future. The ride began with the history of pirates and ended up all the way up to the year 3050. My mom took up all our time during this ride taking pictures for memories (even though we don't look at any of our vacation pictures).

Next, we went on a ride called Test Track. The line was over 2 hours long but it was worth it because we got to create our own cars. There were 4 categories for the cars: efficiency, capability, power and responsiveness. There was a test for power and my car got 207 points. My car actually ended up getting 1st place for the "Power" category! We also got to design our cars. Mine looked like a Lamborghini with 4 jet boosters placed in the middle, lightning designs and an awesome tail. This was definitely my favorite ride.

The last ride we went to at Epcot was Mission Space. My family acted like we were astronauts. We all had different positions on the spaceship. I was the navigator and was smashing all the buttons on the console, which saved us from being killed a few times. My Mom was the engineer but she felt nauseous on the ride, so she did nothing as an engineer and just sat there. That almost got us killed when an asteroid came our way, and she did not fulfill her duty as an engineer! My Dad did his part as a pilot and my brother was an average commander. To be honest, I think you just have to press a bunch of buttons really fast to do your part! The ride was cool because it was make-believe and I saw cool space things like galaxies, meteors and asteroids.

The rest of my time in Orlando was spent at the pool and at 2 more theme parks. We went swimming at our hotel pool, which had at least 7 different pools to choose from. One even had a water slide. The pool water was surprisingly really warm. It was almost as hot as Jacuzzi water! I learned that's because Florida's weather makes everything really warm and pleasant. My family also visited 2 more theme parks. We skipped Magic Kingdom because it was too similar to Disney Land. These two theme parks were okay. Nothing memorable stood out. I really liked Hollywood Studios, though, which was a theme park based on movies. My favorite ride was Hollywood Towers. Imagine the tallest hotel in Las Vegas. Now add 3 more stories to it. That's how tall Hollywood Towers was. It had a scary story to it, too. People got killed on the elevator. So when the elevator door opened, we saw all these ghosts. Then the elevator would drop us down really fast! We went up and down repeatedly at 210 miles per hour! At least, that's how fast I felt we were getting dropped by the elevator ride. My mom closed her eyes because of the ghosts and because she's easily becomes nauseous. My brother and I kept our eyes open the whole way through and we just grinned at each other until the ride was over. We weren't chicken!

I had a lot of fun in Orlando, Florida. My favorite part of the family vacation was actually the day I spent swimming at the resort even though I was grateful to be able to go to three theme parks. I think I just really like swimming! And Florida weather was great! I recommend that you visit Orlando, too. Stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resorts like my family did. It has many pools, and it's also really close to the theme parks so you have something fun to do during your stay!
