Reptiles

Do you know about reptiles? Reptiles are cool animals that have lived to millions of years. They were even at the time of dinosaurs because dinosaurs are reptiles too. If you did not know reptiles are cold-blooded, I can't wait to share more about reptiles with you!

Some examples of reptiles include snakes and lizards. A komoto dragon is also a reptile, and it also the biggest type of lizard. There are some snakes called the spitting cobra, which spits poison as accurate as a gun, and the spit can travel very far! If the spitting cobra's poison hits you in the eye, it is possible that you can go blind. The most poisonous snake is the king cobra. A python is a snake that is not poisonous. A lot of snakes are not poisonous. But all snakes are reptiles. The red-eyed tree frog is extremely poisonous! One drop of poison from the red-eyed tree frog is enough to kill a person, no matter their age, height or weight. Even a fat guy who is over 300 pounds can die from this frog's poison.

Reptiles have big appetites. Snakes prefer to eat big things like one huge egg in one gulp or something ten times their size without chewing! Reptiles can also eat birds, but only if they are babies.

Snakes need to watch out. They have predators! Their predators are eagles and hawks. These predators have the weirdest way of eating snakes. They grab them with their claws. Next, they find a place with a lot of sand. After that, they start whacking the snake on the sand until they are dead. Then they gobble them up. This proves that sometimes reptiles eat other reptiles.

Reptiles have homes. They live on the surface of the earth. They live in a lot of places in the environment.

Reptiles are cool but it might not be a good idea to keep them as pets. When I need to feed them I have to make sure they don't just pop out and attack! Small lizards will run away, which is why it's not a good idea to keep them as pets. I would like to see a reptile in real life, but only if I won't get hurt!
