My Dog

Let me tell you a story about how Boober, our dog, became a part of our family. A homeless dog came to our house one day. We looked for his owners but we couldn't find them so we kept him and named him Boober! Now in our house we have 5 people and 1 animal dog thing. We had him since 2 years ago. We are so happy to have him.

Let's begin at the beginning. After Boober stayed at our front door for 2 minutes and he seemed very hungry, I asked my parents, "Let's feed him! He's so hungry!" They fed him some chicken that I did not like to eat. Then he ate it all! He is like a dog trash can. He eats anything we do not want.

My dad said, "Hey let's keep him."

But my mom was worried. She said, "Let's make sure he doesn't have an owner first."

My dad said, "Let's check if he has an owner then. Let's walk around the neighborhood." So he asked the neighbors, "Are you missing a dog?" No one in the neighborhood was missing a dog. Since he belonged to no one I said, "Let's keep him!"

My parents said, "Okay."

Now let's fast forward to today. I told my tutor "Boober is a fat dog with fat legs and a stubborn face."

My tutor asked, "Why did you call his face stubborn?"

"It's because he never listens to me," I said.

"Like when?" she asked.

I explained, "Whenever my dog runs away, I yell at him to come back, but he never listens to me." But don't worry. Boober always comes home by himself, eventually.

Another day, I came home from school. Boober was very excited I was home. He jumped and licked me in the eye. He barked, "Ruff ruff!" But I said, "Ew!" because I got dog saliva on me.

The only person he listens to is my grandma. One day he peed on my toys and I spanked him and he was about to bite me. My grandma said "No!" and he listened. Then he ran away. My grandma yelled, "Bad doggy!" And he was scared of her for the rest of the day. He's never scared of me.

Now I know dogs are a big responsibility. You have to feed them, walk them and make sure they don't pee in the house. But they also can be useful. They can be a trash eating animal. They eat all the leftovers and unwanted food. We never waste food because of him. Do you want a dog? Or a few dogs? Well, I already have one dog, and Boober is enough trouble.
