The Boat Parade

Have you ever seen bright Christmas lights on boats at the boat parade on Christmas Eve? I went to the boat parade with my dad, mom, and brother. The boat parade was at Newport Beach at night time. A boat parade is when you go out at night then you see beautiful and bright Christmas lights on boats.

The first thing we did at Newport Beach was walk to the light house and go on it. It was a long walk to get to there. Many adults went there. There the light house has no lights but there are lights on the ground of the light house. Nearby the light house there is a playground so kids can play on it. I went on the slide twice because I needed to come down, have fun, wash my hands, and go to the bathroom anyway.

We walked a little to get on the sand so we can see the boat parade. The boats went in circles. There were two boats I liked the best. The first boat I liked was a boat that was so white and bright, that it hurts my eyes so I hid behind my mom’s sweater or jacket. The second one was a dragon breathing out real fire.

I never want to have a boat because I am afraid the boat might sink. Even if it doesn’t sink I will get sea sick and would much rather stay on land.

I had a lot of fun on the beach. I saw a dead eel on the sand!!! I was not scared when I saw it. I threw many things in the ocean such as rocks and seashells. I wish I can come back next year.
